I have found it to be an excellent resource not only for my personal practice, but also for my teaching and the practices of fellow students. The text is simply written and the images are numerous and easy to understand. There is a strong emphasis on coming in and out of postures, linking each breath with a repeated movement. I find this approach to be most therapeutic for both the body and the ever-active mind. It helps to trump and quiet the internal barrage of thoughts that come in and out of our New York heads during yoga. If anyone has any particular things they’d like to check out, let me know and I’ll lend you the book (provided you’re in Brooklyn .
